Camden Lock

At Camden we ascend a flight of three locks, of which the uppermost is the world famous ‘Camden Lock’, home of the busy market and cultural scene. During the summer the lockside and bridges are usually crowded with visitors, watching the boats go by. Sometimes we will pair up with another boat to go through the locks or meet boats coming the other way, with whom we exchange a bit of towpath gossip while the lock fills. By about 12:45 we'll be through the top lock, leaving the crowds behind for a while as we snake our way towards Cumberland Basin
