Dining aboard Helix

Our day cruises aboard Helix include a three-course lunch, with all aperitifs, wines and spirits served with our compliments. For parties of up to four people, we offer a three-course lunch from the menu below left. We will need to know your choices from this menu for each member of your party when you book the cruise. This enables us to provision Helix to your requirements, as all meals are freshly cooked for you in the galley. For parties of five or six we offer the buffet menu below right. The buffet format gives you more freedom to circulate and allows us to offer you a wider variety of dishes.

STARTERS

Fresh melon with stem ginger
Home-made chicken-liver pate with crackers
Smoked salmon and lemon wedges with brown bread and butter

MAIN COURSES

Steak Provençale
Rib-eye steak, pan fried and served with a red wine sauce, garnished with red and green peppers, olives and tomatoes. Accompanied by new potatoes and a mixed-leaf salad.

Kebab Américain
Tender cubes of free-range chicken with mushroom, tomato, onion, apple and green pepper. Cooked and served on the skewer, on a bed of rice garnished with mixed salad.

Poached Salmon
Fillet of salmon, poached in a Court Bouillon, served with Hollandaise sauce, new potatoes and a cucumber salad.

Vegetarian Kebab
Cubes of marinated tofu with mushroom, tomato, onion, apple and green pepper. Cooked and served on the skewer, on a bed of rice garnished with mixed salad.

Red and white wines,
fruit juices and soft drinks
will all be served with our compliments

DESSERTS

Bombe Maison
Fresh cream, crisp meringue and brandy, whipped and frozen into a delicious home-made ice-cream.

Apples Suprême
Lightly poached apples with fresh orange segments, served in a syrup and topped with crunchy caramel.
